St Marys weathervane and the city.jpg

The spire of St Mary's, Harrow on the Hill, is the highest point in Middlesex:  early evening view clear across the City of London to Docklands and beyond.

We are Spirewatch, the little charity with a big task: raising funds to preserve the ancient landmark church of St Mary's Harrow on the Hill. Our charity number is 290616.

SAVING THE SPIRE:
Spring 2025 update

Scaffolding is now coming down, revealing St Mary's iconic spire with its new lead cladding. Thank you to everyone who has helped raise so much to save and preserve Harrow's most visible landmark!

However, restoration never ceases on a building 931 years old - so our fundraising continues!

There is still time to “buy" a lead tile in your name or someone else’s, a family name or in memoriam. A small tile costs £320 and a large tile costs £1,200.

If you wish to do this, please email your details to spirewatchharrow@gmail.com

For general donations, the easiest way to support us is via our JustGiving page - although if you'd like to send us a cheque/cash/any spare gold ingots, you can contact us here!
